carla_headshotCore Design Pilates owner and instructor, Carla Boling has been a fitness professional for over 10 years.  Starting out as a part-time group fitness instructor, she discovered that motivating people to become more healthy was her personal niche.  Carla obtained her Personal Trainer certification through AFAA, and has helped hundreds of individuals improve their lifestyle through fitness training.

After taking a Pilates workshop at a fitness convention, Carla knew that Pilates was a unique and highly effective mode of exercise.  Shortly, she made the commitment to become a classically trained instructor and found the Power Pilates method to follow Joseph Pilates way of teaching.   Carla completed the Power Pilates Beginner and Intermediate Mat Certifications in June 2007 and completed the Power Pilates Advanced System 3 training in November 2008 at Studio Lotus in Atlanta, Ga.  Carla brings her practical and motivating manner into every Pilates session.  She also teaches Kettlebell classes at Core Design Pilates.

jolie_headshotJolie Long is an Associate Professor of Dance at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia.  She holds a B.A. in Dance from Mary Washington College and a M.F.A. in choreography and performance from Florida State University.  In addition to her full-time duties as a dance professor and Director of the Brenau Dance Ensemble Educational Outreach, Jolie performs, choreographs and produces concerts and lecture/demonstrations throughout the year.  First exposed to the benefits of the Pilates method when attending the American Dance Festival in 1992, Jolie completed her initial mat certification in 1997 through the Physicalmind Institute, NY.  Since then, she has completed Beginning and Intermediate Mat Certifications through Power Pilates in June 2007 and concluded Power Pilates Comprehensive Training in January 2009 at Studio Lotus in Atlanta, GA.  With years of experience teaching dancers how to move efficiently and effectively, Jolie is skilled at ‘seeing the body’ and emphasizing clean technique, while providing clients with a challenging and energizing workout.

ashleyAshley Rogers, an instructor at Core Design, is a pediatric trauma and emergency nurse by trade. She graduated in 2004 from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She started taking pilates over a year ago and saw early on the benefits that pilates was having on her body.

Interested in the systematic approach of the power method, she completed the Power Pilates Beginner Mat Certification and began teaching in November of 2009. She enjoys teaching the basic and beginning exercises to clients to build their foundation with the Power Pilates method all while providing a challenging and "smile worthy" workout.

sheilaSheila Dunckel is a hometown girl who has lived in Gainesville all her life.  She became interested in Pilates after seeing the changes it brought to a friend's body.  After a year of participating in Pilates Apparatus instruction, Sheila also had phenomenal results.  Lower back problems plagued her for years, but because of the conditioning Pilates provides to the core, her problems dramatically improved.  After realizing these kind of results with Pilates in her own body, she made the commitment to help anyone who wanted to improve their health and fitness.

Sheila completed the Power Pilates Beginner Mat Certification in the fall of 2009 and plans on continuing her training at Studio Lotus in Atlanta this spring.
