10 Week Challenge
In keeping with the promise of Joseph Pilates that "In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body", Core Design Pilates introduces the 10 Week Challenge! In August of 2009 two individuals took the first 10 Week Challenge to have a whole new body! Taking Pilates Apparatus Instruction 3 times a week for 10 weeks, they consistently made changes to their bodies and posture until they have the positive improvements that Joseph Pilates promised.

Emilie Cook is a part-time yoga instructor who believed that classical Pilates could give her the changes she wanted. Taking Pilates apparatus instruction 3 days a week for 10 weeks, she lost 10 lbs of fat, and lost 8 inches total; 2.5" on her waist, 2" each on her thighs, .5" on her arms and 1" on her hips. She gained an inch in her chest measurement! Emilie demonstrated that without dieting {but not eating more!}, and not adding cardio training, classical Pilates CAN change your body.
Here are her own words:
"I have never felt better. I am strong. I am toned in places I thought were lost forever. Not only do my clothes have more room, my appreciation for my body has grown. It is as much a mental shift as it is a physical shift. I have lost pounds, inches and sizes in my jeans, but it is more than that. I love my body- it's still not a "size 2 perfect"- but it is my perfect body."

David is the full-time CEO of a local non-profit organization, leading a very busy life. He undertook the 10 Week Challenge commitment of training three times a week in spite of his hectic schedule. David was already lean, as you can see, but needed to gain flexibility and proper sustained posture. As a result of doing classical Pilates apparatus training David added inches!!! He gained 2 inches in his chest and 1.5 inches in his shoulder girth. He is standing taller naturally, and everyone comments how good he looks.
We asked David if he realized the fulfillment of Joseph Pilates' promise, he said:
"Yes, I am much stronger in my core. I feel great and look fit. My back needed strengthening and the Pilates training accomplished that too. I will continue to take Pilates because it is still making positive change in my body."
